Introducing the the Slat Shot!
A modern cribbon rasher, with a few twists!
Instead of thick metal strips that resemble cymbal alloy, we went with thin high quality stainless steel. The tension is easily adjustable with thumb screws on each side, you can have it tight like a hihat or washy like a stack of broken cymbals!
The slats on the Slat Shot features holes in each end, this gives you the possibility to use a hihat stand and the included clutch attachement to play short and long notes. Basically, you get a new sort of hihat instrument!
The outputs on the Slat Shot can be used as audio out (stereo or mono), trigger out, gate out or any combination thereof. The sound you get from the outputs will be very different from the acoustic sound, we recommend you apply low cut and slowly raise the volume to support the acoustic sound without overpowering it for a fat, unique tone!
Of course, it’s super simple to add a phaser/distortion/delay effect to the sound without any leakage from your snare or timbale, you could even connect your SPD at the same time and set the threshold so only your accents trigger a sample!
